The Pilot Vanishing Point Fountain Pen in Birchwood Red combines Pilot’s signature retractable design with the natural warmth of wood. With a simple click, the rhodium-plated 18k gold nib extends for writing and retracts when not in use, while an internal trap door helps prevent the nib from drying out.
The birchwood barrel is selected for its refined grain, smooth texture, and comfortable feel in hand. Through a resin-infusion process, the wood gains added durability and stability while maintaining its natural appearance. This also allows for precise construction, even with finer components that would be difficult to achieve with untreated wood.
Finished with rhodium accents, the pen offers a clean, distinctive look that stands apart from standard resin or metal models. Each pen includes a Pilot CON-40 converter, an ink cartridge, and a metal cartridge cap, and is presented in a black gift box.
