Will so enjoy using this nib with all my inks!
These nibs require some investment in testing different inks. In both nibs, brass and steel, some inks will just flow out of them making it difficult to control. Some other inks stick to the nib and it is difficult to do anything with them. I've tried 28 inks so far and found that inks that are advertised as "lubricating" perform the best.
From the Kakimori brand I only tried "PO" and it is one of those that don't flow too gracefully. Some might consider this as giving your writing character since some letters will be barely visible and some others very wet, but that's not my particular style.
On the positive side, the capacity to draw/write for a long time without dipping (with lubricating inks) as well as the ability to easily fill in entire areas (with the sides of the nib) are qualities that are undeniably unique.
I bought this (and the SS nib) for mark making over art using acrylic inks (e.g. Liquitex). Not having great results. Lines are blobby to scratchy (missing ink) even over plain, white paper. I'm hoping with time and usage, it'll get better. But, I've used it quite a bit so far without any luck.
Kakimori - Metal Nib - Brass
Takes a little getting used to but it's well made and versatile. Using it with an e+m Gemini nib holder or a Tachikawa.
