Authentic gold leaf is gold hammered and extended into very thin sheets. The Kanazawa Gold Leaf Collection uses a traditional gold leaf application called momi chirashi technique. Once the gold leaf is hammered into thin square sheets, it is torn into smaller pieces and applied to the barrel of the pen, resulting a delicate textured finish to reflect the glow of the dragon. This creates an exquisite art piece in the form of a pen.
