The cap prevents does a great job preventing the nib from drying, allowing for maximum smoothness with your writing; furthermore, the minimum skipping allows for a truly enjoyable writing experience. This is quite a reliable pen and a perfect starter kit for beginners. While the color selection is less than the LAMY, this pen packs a punch for its price, leading to a fantastic experience for users of all levels. This is by far my favorite
