he 1670 Collection celebrates the rich life and adventures of Herbin, an enterprising French sailor of the mid-17th century. While he was in the employ of the Compagnie des Indes Orientales, he made a number of voyages to India, collecting ingredients and formulas for his sealing wax and inks.
Blue Ocean ink, a deep and dense color, is majestic owing to its golden glitter sparkling with a million lights. It is a tribute to the color of the sea dear to the navigator Herbin during his various trips.

Herbin Bleu Ocean is a medium purplish blue shimmer ink with a gold shimmer. The ink dries moderately quickly and is partially water-resistant. There is no feathering, medium show-through, no bleeding, low shading, a slight copper sheen, and gold shimmer. Sheen does not show up much in fine and extra fine nibs. The ink has a wet flow. Before purchasing shimmer inks, ensure that you know how they work as they are different to regular inks.
